The minimally invasive neck lift has largely replaced extensive surgical procedures to correct sagging chin, lower jaw and neck skin.

Procedure

Surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia. Very extensive procedures also may be carried out under sedation or under general anesthesia. You can be discharged after a few hours.

The preparation cannula for tissue modeling is inserted through three tiny incisions behind the ears and under the chin. This allows the entire treatment area on the chin, lower jaw and neck to be reached. The incisions are usually no longer visible a few weeks after procedure. The cannula is used to remodel and contour the chin, lower jaw and neck area.

 

After surgery, a tight, elastic face and neck mask is applied, which should be worn for about 2 weeks. This achieves the best possible tissue modeling.
